Create & Curate FREE Summer Camp

Monday - Friday, July 15 - 26, 9 am - 2 pm daily. For rising 6th - 8th graders.

Learn how professionals create art shows and events. Go on field trips and speak to artists and exhibit designers to learn the tools, materials and techniques they use to make their idea or story come to life in a space. Work with MuseumLab's Curator in Residence, Sean Beauford, to grow skills, get feedback, and create something amazing.

Participants are expected to attend both weeks of camp, and will keep their creations at the end. No specific experience necessary: just a willingness to experiment, create, learn and share ideas!

THIS CAMP IS FREE AND INCLUDES LUNCH, INSTRUCTION AND MATERIALS. PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ACCEPTED BY APPLICATION ONLY. Space is limited and we may not be able to include every applicant. This is an equal-opportunity camp, and does not exclude applicants based on race, gender, income, religion, physical ability or citizenship.

Art programming in Studio Lab is supported by the Belle Richards Fund No. 1, the Betty P. and William F. Saalbach Fund, the Frank G. Wallace Fund, the Anthony E. Gill Fund, and the Charles H. Spang Fund of The Pittsburgh Foundation.
