Both editors of MuseumLab are currently attending the Musee 2.0 symposium at the Centre Pompidou in Paris. Speakers include (a.o.) Peter Weibel (director ZKM, Karlsruhe), John Stack (director, Tate Online, London) and Alain Depocas (director Fondation Daniel Langlois, Montreal). You can watch their presentations via a live feed on their website.
MoMA has had a Director’s account on YouTube for some while now. On its site it shares a video of a conversation between curator Joachim Pissarro and a group of teens as part of Red Studio, MoMA’s site for teens. It’s not so clear if Pissarro’s approach is very fruitful. Another question that arises: who is the target group of this video?
MoMAvideos presents exhibition previews, public programs, performances, and behind-the-scenes looks at conservation and art installation at New York’s Museum of Modern Art on YouTube. Right now you can watch videos of Romanian artist Dan Perjovschi creating the site-specific wall drawing ‘What happened to US?’ on one wall of the museum’s atrium. Perjovschi makes witty and incisive social and political images in response to current events. You can also download the newspaper that he created especially for this exhibition.
Dan Perjovschi, What happened to US?, is on view at The Museum of Modern Art from May 2 through August 27, 2007.
