n8 will host Open Museum symposium at PICNIC 08

    PICNIC 08

On Thursday 25 September 2008, the n8 will host a seminar at the PICNIC festival on the opening up of museums and the creation of dialogues with its visitors and audience. Speakers representing the forefront of current developments in this field, both from within museums and from the technology sector, will be invited to reflect on current and future developments in the field of arts and heritage. The seminar will be a critical approach to the opportunities and threats of radical trust, wisdom of crowds and Web 2 and 3 for the museum world.

The n8 was established by the Amsterdam museums to think of new means of reaching young adults. It is mostly known for its annual Museum Night. Recently, it gave a demonstration at Museums and the Web in Montreal.

MuseumLab will be involved in this interesting opportunity to think outside of the museum walls.
